An intro to MAHD Framework 4.0

MAHD was created to address a specific gap. Staged-development approaches provide useful structure, but often treat assumptions as fixed requirements and delay integration and learning. Agile offered a powerful alternative, but most tactics were designed for software—not hardware dependencies, lead times, manufacturing, capital investment, system integration, and difficult tradeoffs.

Launched in 2017, MAHD was designed to overcome these limitations. Its application across industries, organizations, projects, and levels of complexity revealed what helps teams accelerate, where organizations stall, and why well-designed methods often fail to change daily behavior.

Ten years of field experience showed that successful teams were not merely adopting agile practices—they were changing how they approached product development. They aligned around outcomes before committing to solutions, attacked major unknowns early, involved the right people in consequential decisions, and evolved the product, plan, evidence, and business case together.
